First reviews coming out of Aditya Chopra’s third movie as director.
Mr. Inkenti thinks the movie does not deliver (warning: spoilers in the post)
The biggest problem with the film is that the foundational love element of the film is weak. It begins with great curiosity, but slowly settles down to be without any ‘dum’. It has its share of laugh, but there is no plot, fun, and a total lack of characters.
But K. Raj Kumar liked the movie:
I would like to mention that I see a different Srk in this movie and I cant see Srk too! He is very much involved in the character esp of Surinder that he makes it so effortless! So, Srk delivers a excellent performance with a lot of change. I would say its brave thing to do for both the actor and Adi chopra.

Loved it! SRK was effortless and Anushka was charming. A simple story with a heart and the purity rarely visible in movies these days. Put a smile on my face and helped ease the gloom after 26/11, ever if it was for a couple of hours.
Importantly, told me a story of someone I would definately know somewhere in my lane of memory. Its lovely to feel that being Ordinary is very special too! After all, like the movie tagline goes, There’s an extraordinary love story in every ordinary jodi! And you cant beat that! :-)
AWESUM movie ever seen!!!!!!…..u really question urself wers srk in da movie??…its all surinder sahni !!!…
What a crap ….after so much hoopla i expected a lot from rnbdj . bt d movie fails in evry aspect… waste of money
hmmmmmmmmmmm i wanna see it would you recommend it?
What a third rate movie being appreciated by delusional SRK fans.
Awesum movie…Some people seem to have forgot how to appreciate a genuinely made love story…
Neways…a must watch movie…
its just a routine movie ,we can watch but we will not remember it for a longtime,,
when comes to the matter of shahrukh acting, as usual he acted well,
i think the era of shahrukh’s romantic love stories were ended in between 90’s to 2000…shahrukh needs good script, with good script shahrukh will to wonders..
when comes to the aditya chopra,, i will say “nothing is permanent” aditya chopra persona has been perishing,,,,
I have not seen yet. But I am confused about the mixed reaction here.
i luuuuuuuuuuuuuvd SRK
